हॉकी गोल्ड कप में माजरा की धमाकेदार जीत, 26 टीमों का मुकाबला शुरू…
पांवटा साहिब। माजरा स्थित हॉकी एस्ट्रो टर्फ़ मैदान में मंगलवार को सातवीं गुरु गोविंद सिंह हॉकी गोल्ड कप प्रतियोगिता का भव्य आगाज हुआ।
शुभारंभ अवसर पर सिरमौर ट्रक ऑपरेटर यूनियन के अध्यक्ष बलजीत सिंह नागरा मुख्य अतिथि और अनूप अग्रवाल विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में मौजूद रहे।
मां यमुना हॉकी क्लब पांवटा के अध्यक्ष गुरनाम सिंह और सचिव जाफर अली ने बताया कि इस प्रतिष्ठित प्रतियोगिता में उत्तर भारत की 26 टीमें हिस्सा ले रही हैं।
प्रतियोगिता में पुरुष और महिला दोनों वर्गों में विजेता टीम को 31,000 रुपये नकद राशि व ट्रॉफी और उपविजेता को 21,000 रुपये नकद व ट्रॉफी प्रदान की जाएगी।
प्लेयर ऑफ द टूर्नामेंट (दोनों वर्गों) को ‘मेरा गांव मेरा देश एक सहारा संस्था’ की ओर से विशेष पुरस्कार दिया जाएगा। आयोजकों ने बताया कि यह प्रतियोगिता पांच दिन तक चलेगी, जिसमें महिला और पुरुष वर्ग की टीमें अपना दमखम दिखाएंगी।
पहले दिन हुए मुकाबले
प्रतियोगिता के पहले दिन पांच मुकाबले खेले गए। महिला वर्ग में माजरा टीम ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी को 8-0 से करारी शिकस्त दी। वहीं दूसरे मैच में सोनीपत ने मध्य प्रदेश को 3-1 से हराया।
पुरुष वर्ग में मोगा पंजाब ने नालागढ़ को 5-1 और रोहतक ने पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी को 3-1 से मात दी।
प्रतियोगिता को सफल बनाने में हॉकी कोच पंकज सकलानी, नीरज माहेश्वरी, सुरजीत कश्यप और चमन सहित अन्य का अहम योगदान रहा। आयोजकों ने बताया कि आने वाले दिनों में मुकाबले और भी रोमांचक होंगे..
