Forged from a single blank, grain flow is improved to enhance the mechanical characteristics of the valve without having to resort to welding. Special PVD, CVD, and CrN coatings are used to provide low friction surfaces that reduce heat generation and resist carbon build up; coatings allow alloys like titanium to become
