पुलिस थाना पुरुवाला के अंतर्गत मेहरूवाला रोड पर भुड्डी रोड बाइफरकेशन के पास पुलिस ने गुप्त सूचना के आधार पर दो युवकों को पकड़कर उनके कब्जे से 323 ग्राम चिट्टा (हेरोइन) बरामद किया।

गिरफ्तार किए गए आरोपियों की पहचान सोएब खान उर्फ आजम (22 वर्ष) और साकिब शाह (19 वर्ष) के रूप में हुई है। दोनों आरोपी उत्तराखंड के जीवनगढ़, पोस्ट ऑफिस अंबाडी, तहसील विकास नगर, जिला देहरादून के रहने वाले हैं।

पुलिस ने आरोपियों के खिलाफ ND&PS Act के तहत मामला दर्ज कर लिया है और आगे की जांच जारी है। पुलिस यह भी पता लगाने का प्रयास कर रही है कि आरोपी यह नशीला पदार्थ कहां से लाए थे और इसे कहां सप्लाई किया जाना था।

एसपी निश्चित सिंह नेगी ने पुष्टि की है कि नशा तस्करी के खिलाफ अभियान जारी रहेगा और इस मामले में जल्द ही और भी खुलासे हो सकते हैं।
