जिला सिरमौर के पांवटा साहिब में दून प्रेस क्लब अहम बैठक चेयरमैन दिनेश ठाकुर की अध्यक्षता में सम्पन्न हुई, जिसमें संगठन के नए पदाधिकारियों की घोषणा की गई।
सर्वसम्मति से मुकेश रमौल को अध्यक्ष, नरेंद्र सैनी को वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष, भीम सिंह को उपाध्यक्ष, तरुण खन्ना को महासचिव, मनजीत सिंह को सचिव एवं गुरिंदर चौधरी को कोषाध्यक्ष बनाया गया। वहीं, प्रीति चौहान को मीडिया प्रभारी की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई।
इसके अलावा, दून प्रेस क्लब के पूर्व प्रधान श्यामलाल पुंडीर, डॉ. अनुराग गुप्ता और प्रखर गुप्ता को संरक्षक नियुक्त किया गया। वहीं, वरिष्ठ सदस्य व पूर्व प्रधान कुलदीप गतवाल, मुकेश कुमार, शीशपाल सैनी और अरविंद गोयल को मुख्य सलाहकार बनाया गया।
इस महत्वपूर्ण बैठक में क्लब के सभी सदस्य मौजूद रहे। नवनिर्वाचित अध्यक्ष मुकेश रमौल ने कहा कि वह पत्रकार हित में कार्य करेंगे और क्लब की सामाजिक गतिविधियों को पहले की तरह जारी रखेंगे। उन्होंने यह भी आश्वासन दिया कि पत्रकारों को राष्ट्रीय और राज्य स्तर पर मिलने वाली सुविधाओं को क्लब के सदस्यों तक पहुँचाने के लिए हरसंभव प्रयास किया जाएगा।
