विद्यापीठ के पूर्व छात्र फ्लाइट लेफ्टिनेंट आर्शवीर सिंह ठाकुर को मिला वीर चक्र, देश और हिमाचल का नाम रोशन…

शिमला। विद्यापीठ संस्थान शिमला के पूर्व छात्र फ्लाइट लेफ्टिनेंट आर्शवीर सिंह ठाकुर को उनके असाधारण साहस और वीरता के लिए भारत का तीसरा सर्वोच्च वीरता पुरस्कार “वीर चक्र” प्रदान किया गया है।

 

जुब्बल (जाखोल), शिमला निवासी श्री नरेन्द्र सिंह ठाकुर के सुपुत्र आर्शवीर ने विद्यापीठ शिमला में वर्ष 2012–2014 सत्र में अध्ययन किया था। विद्यार्थी जीवन से ही वे मेहनती और संकल्पशील स्वभाव के लिए जाने जाते थे।

 

ऑपरेशन सिंदूर के दौरान उन्होंने बहावलपुर और मुरीदके (पाकिस्तान) में आतंकियों के ठिकानों को ध्वस्त करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई। उनके इस अदम्य साहस और पराक्रम के लिए उन्हें वीर चक्र से अलंकृत किया गया है।

 

उनकी इस उपलब्धि पर विद्यापीठ संस्थान के निदेशक डॉ. रमेश शर्मा और इंजीनियर रविंद्र अवस्थी ने हार्दिक बधाई देते हुए कहा कि –

“आर्शवीर ने न केवल अपने परिवार को गौरवान्वित किया है, बल्कि पूरे राष्ट्र का मान बढ़ाया है। उनकी इस वीरता से विद्यापीठ परिवार भी गौरवान्वित और आत्मसम्मानित महसूस कर रहा है।”

आर्शवीर की इस वीरता ने न सिर्फ हिमाचल बल्कि पूरे देश को गर्वित कर दिया है।
