पांवटा साहिब में युवा पत्रकार तपेंद्र सिंह के आकस्मिक निधन से क्षेत्र में शोक की लहर है। 24 वर्षीय तपेंद्र सिंह अपने पीछे पत्नी, 3 वर्षीय बेटी और भरा पूरा परिवार छोड़ गए हैं। आज सुबह उन्हें आपातकालीन स्थिति में पांवटा सिविल अस्पताल लाया गया, जहां उपचार के दौरान उन्होंने अंतिम सांस ली।
तपेंद्र सिंह पांवटा साहिब से ‘हिमाचल स्टेट न्यूज़’ पोर्टल के संचालक और संपादक थे। इससे पहले वे कई समाचार पत्रों में भी कार्यरत रह चुके थे। बताया जा रहा है कि तपेंद्र सिंह, पुत्र अमर सिंह, शिलाई के किरिधार गांव के स्थायी निवासी थे और पांवटा साहिब में पहाड़ी कॉलोनी में अपने भाइयों के साथ रहते थे। उनके निधन से पत्रकार जगत, गिरिपार क्षेत्र और पांवटा क्षेत्र में गहरा शोक है।
जानकारी के अनुसार तपेंद्र पिछले काफी समय से किडनी की गंभीर बीमारी से जूझ रहे थे। उनका इलाज पहले स्थानीय स्तर पर और फिर पीजीआई में भी कराया गया था। बीते एक वर्ष से वह स्वस्थ महसूस कर रहे थे, लेकिन रविवार सुबह अचानक उनकी तबीयत बिगड़ गई। उन्हें प्राथमिक उपचार के लिए सिविल अस्पताल लाया गया, जहां डॉक्टरों ने उन्हें मृत घोषित कर दिया।
स्थानीय निवासी निका राम शर्मा ने बताया कि तपेंद्र सिंह का अंतिम संस्कार उनके पैतृक गांव किरिधार में किया जाएगा। उन्होंने कहा कि तपेंद्र के इलाज में उनके परिवार और भाइयों ने हर संभव प्रयास किया, लेकिन उन्हें बचाया नहीं जा सका। युवा पत्रकार के निधन पर दून प्रेस क्लब के अध्यक्ष दिनेश ठाकुर ने व प्रेस क्लब अन्य सदस्यों ने शोक व्यक्त करते हुए परिवार के प्रति गहरी संवेदनाएं प्रकट की हैं।
